Frequently Asked Questions.
Here you'll find practical information about OMG, Franck! 2026.
Basics & Entry
What is OMG, Franck! and when is it?
OMG, Franck! is a six-day interdisciplinary festival during Basel Art Week, running Monday 15 to Saturday 20 June 2026 at Franck Areal, Horburgstrasse 103, 4057 Basel. It brings together music, art, performance, fashion, food culture, live radio, talks and collaborators on one shared site — DJ sets, live acts, club nights, installations, moving image, performances, fashion shows, dining formats, bars and site-responsive projects. Open daily 17h–late: daytime leans into food, art, installations, talks and radio; evenings move into the music programme, club nights and bars.
Where can I find the full programme?
The full programme is on the Line-up page — filter by day and category.
Do I need a ticket, and how does entry work?
There are no tickets (except the Fashion Shows) to buy in advance for the festival. OMG, Franck! runs on a social entry model — pay what you can at the door, via a donation box or a person collecting contributions (by Twint or card). Everyone is welcome regardless of what they can give, and contributions help keep the festival accessible while supporting artists and production. Some spaces have limited capacity, so arrive in time for club nights, fashion shows, performances or anything you don't want to miss. The daytime programme is open to all ages, while night-time club events are generally 18+. The only ticket needed is for the fashion shows.
Food & Drinks
What's the food and drink offer?
Food Culture is a core part of the festival, curated by No Chef Studios and based mainly at Hof A — pop-up kitchen energy and ambitious cooking in the raw industrial setting of Franck Areal. Dining runs in the evenings (roughly 18h–23h) with Michaela Frank (Mon–Thu) and Restaurant Magdalena (Fri–Sat), alongside a Wine Bar, a Specialty Drinks Bar and the Festival Bar across all six days. Most food is accessible on site, but dining formats may have limited capacity and are served until sold out.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
OMG, Franck! is a non-profit event, so please support it by buying from the kitchens and bars on site. Outside food and drinks are generally not allowed.
The Programme
What's the music, art and performance programme?
Music celebrates underground club culture in every form — from restorative, deep-listening sounds to high-energy rave — with local, national and international DJs, live acts, community radio formats and club nights. Art runs across the site through installations, moving image, digital works and immersive environments, and performances happen in different spaces throughout the festival. Live Radio & Talks add interviews, roundtables and public discussions with artists, curators and community radios including Radio Gwen / Radio Gwendalyn, and all DJ sets, talks and radio formats are streamed live with Radio X. Always check the individual event page for the final time and location.
What is the fashion programme?
Fashion at OMG, Franck! is curated by AUDA, set for Wednesday 17 June 2026 at Hof B with two shows. The fashion shows are the one part of the festival that needs a ticket.
How do I get tickets for the fashion shows?

How do I get to Franck Areal, and is there parking?
Franck Areal is at Horburgstrasse 103, 4057 Basel. The best way to arrive is by public transport, bike or on foot — the closest tram stop is Brombacherstrasse on line 14, a short walk away. There is no public car parking on the festival site, so please don't come by car; bike parking is available near the entrance.
Good to Know
Is the festival accessible and family-friendly?
The venue is accessible and step-free, though Franck Areal is a former industrial site so some spaces have physical particularities. The food areas, daytime music programme, some art installations and performances are kid friendly; night-time club events and some performances are 18+. Service animals are always welcome; other pets are discouraged because of crowd density, sound levels and food areas.
Can I pay by card?
Bars and kitchens accept card payments, and social-entry donations can be made by Twint or card. We still recommend bringing some cash as a backup in case of technical issues.
What happens if it rains?
Franck Areal has indoor, outdoor and covered areas, so many programme points can continue under roof. In heavy rain, some outdoor formats may move, be delayed or be rescheduled — last-minute changes go up first on our Instagram and on the Line-up page, so check both before heading out.
Can I take photos?
Small personal cameras and phones are welcome, as long as you respect consent, privacy and the atmosphere — don't photograph or film people without consent, especially in club, performance or intimate contexts, and no flash in club or performance spaces. Professional photography, filming or press documentation needs prior approval: contact press@omg-franck.ch.
Code of Conduct
What are the house rules?
OMG, Franck! is a shared, inclusive space. A few things matter when visiting us: (1) consideration and respect for the space, staff and other guests; (2) zero tolerance for racism, sexism, queerphobia or any other form of discrimination; (3) consent is mandatory — respect others' boundaries, physically and verbally; (4) all genders are welcome, use the restroom where you feel most comfortable; and (5) no food waste — only take as much as you will actually eat. If you observe or experience something and need help, reach out to our staff or the host at the entrance at any time. Read the full rules, in English and German, on the Code of Conduct page.
