About & Contact

OMG, Franck! is a six-day interdisciplinary festival taking place during Art Basel week at Franck Areal in Basel. "Let's create our world in six days." Organised by Förderverein Franck — a newly founded association — OMG, Franck! brings together DJs, artists, designers, performers and chefs to co-create an open, diverse, sustainable and creative environment over six days inside one of Basel's most distinctive industrial sites.

The 2026 edition takes place from 15–20 June 2026 at Franck Areal, Basel.

    What OMG, Franck! Is

It all started with the idea of creating an inspiring environment together as a network in six days. Founded in 2024, OMG, Franck! began as a collaboration between Radio X, Tanzhaus Basel, Franck Areal and No Chef Studios.

The festival was created to open a different kind of space during one of the art world's most charged weeks: a place where sub- and club culture, artistic practice, hospitality, conversation and community can overlap.

Rather than separating disciplines, OMG, Franck! lets them move through each other. A concert can sit next to a radio conversation, a performance can lead into a club night, a kitchen can become part of the programme, and an industrial site can temporarily become a shared cultural landscape.

The first edition in June 2025 welcomed around 5,000 visitors over six days, with immersive installations and performances, DJ sets, a carefully curated culinary offering and a large fashion show.

OMG, Franck! is not only a programme of events. It is a place to gather, listen, move, eat, talk, discover and stay longer than planned.

    The Site

The festival takes place at Franck Areal, a 12,000 m² former industrial site in Basel currently undergoing transformation into a place for culture, work, sustainability and community life.

For OMG, Franck!, the site becomes a festival landscape: stages, exhibition spaces, listening rooms, radio formats, food and bar programmes, open-air moments and smaller rooms for close-up encounters unfold side by side.

    Organisation

OMG, Franck! is organised by Förderverein Franck in collaboration with Radio X, Tanzhaus Basel, Franck Areal and No Chef Studios.

The festival works across music, art, performance, fashion, food culture, live radio, talks and community-led formats, bringing together local, national and international contributors. Its programme is shaped through collaborations with artists, curators, cultural organisations, independent initiatives and site partners.

    2026 Edition

From 15 to 20 June 2026, OMG, Franck! returns to Franck Areal with a six-day programme across Music, Art, Performance, Fashion, Food Culture, Live Radio & Talks, and Collaborators.

The 2026 edition expands the festival into a dense cultural landscape during Art Basel week: a pop-up club, immersive installations, contemporary performance, live fashion formats, curated dining experiences, radio broadcasts, talks and community-led encounters unfold across the industrial site.

Artists, chefs, DJs, performers, designers, collectives, broadcasters and cultural partners come together to shape a temporary world where club culture meets artistic practice, hospitality, conversation and shared experience.

Building on the first edition in 2025, OMG, Franck! 2026 deepens its connection to Franck Areal as a site of transformation — raw, open, experimental and alive for six days.

The OMG, Franck! programme moves across interconnected fields: Music, Art, Performance, Fashion, Food Culture, Live Radio & Talks, and Collaborators. Together, they form a festival landscape where club culture, artistic practice, hospitality, conversation and community overlap.

    Music

Music at OMG, Franck! celebrates the diversity of underground club culture — from restorative sounds and deep listening to high-energy rave.

The programme brings together local, national and international DJs and live acts across a wide spectrum of electronic and club music. Curated by Danielle Bürgin with a strong sense for subculture, community and atmosphere, music unfolds both inside the pop-up club and through selected live-streamed DJ sets hosted by Radio X Basel.

    Art

Art at OMG, Franck! invites visitors to step inside.

Installations, moving image, digital works and spatial interventions unfold within the industrial architecture of Franck Areal, where concrete, echo, light and sound become part of the experience. The exhibition space becomes something to move through and feel — immersive, multi-sensory and shifting between stillness, intensity and sudden impact.

    Performance

Performance at OMG, Franck! focuses on contemporary dance, live performance and embodied practices that activate the site in real time.

Curated by Corinne Eckenstein from Tanzhaus Basel, the programme brings choreographed works, open formats, rehearsals, works in progress and short interventions into dialogue with the industrial setting. The body becomes a space of rhythm, presence, expression and transformation.

    Fashion

Fashion at OMG, Franck! unfolds live in the space.

Garments become movement, identity and expression, in dialogue with sound, scenography, energy and crowd. Curated by Aurora D’Agostino / AUDA, the fashion programme brings emerging designers into a raw industrial environment, connecting runway, showroom, club culture and visual storytelling. Taking place on 17 June 2026, the shows offer an intimate and dynamic format that stays close to the audience and the atmosphere of the site. Show scenography by Alessandra Hofmann.

    Food Culture

Food Culture at OMG, Franck! is not an add-on. It is a core part of the festival's spirit.

Curated by No Chef Studios, food is treated as its own artistic and social form — a way to set the tone, create atmosphere and bring people together. The programme opens a dialogue between fine dining and raw surroundings, between precision and spontaneity. Chefs become hosts, artists and storytellers, shaping moments that go beyond the plate. No Chef Studios (BS) develops gastronomic concepts and events in which collaboration and creativity matter more than hierarchy.

    Live Radio & Talks

Live Radio & Talks create a space for conversation, exchange and transmission.

Through interviews, public discussions, radio formats and live broadcasts, the festival connects artists, curators, communities and audiences beyond the immediate site. Hosted with Radio X Basel and invited partners, these formats give context to the programme and open up the ideas, scenes and questions behind the festival.

    Collaborators

OMG, Franck! is built through collaboration.

Artists, collectives, cultural spaces and independent platforms come together to shape a shared world over six days — open, experimental and driven by community. The festival grows out of strong local and international networks, where disciplines, perspectives and practices meet. With contributions from partners such as Radio X, No Chef Studios, Tanzhaus Basel, Ado & Comenius, AUDA, 0xCollection, N0va.Silo, Living Museum Basel, Radio Gwen and Ozelot Studios, Collaborators form the backbone of OMG, Franck!
